Romesh Hettiarachchi

Romesh Hettiarachchi joined D&H Professional Corporation in 2011 as an associate focussing on commercial and employment law. Possessing diverse academic and community leadership experiences, Romesh's client-centred approach focuses on being both pro-active and cost-efficient in resolving all disputes pertaining to the employer-employee relationship including: wrongful dismissals; occupational health and safety charges; employment standards compliance; contract issues; labour board proceedings; grievance arbitrations; and human rights matters.

Romesh has successfully represented clients before various levels of courts and administrative tribunals including the Superior Court of Justice, Criminal Injuries and Compensation Board, Employment Insurance Board of Referees, the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal.

A small portion of Romesh's practice is devoted to meeting the legal needs of charities, co-operatives, non-profits and social enterprises. Possessing working relationships with many of the major players in the Greater Toronto Area, Romesh is particularly focused on developing financial and legal tools that enhance the ability of these organizations to meet community needs.
